Yeah, I've pretty much retired from this place. I'm not going to write any more extended fanfiction, and I've taken down all of those that I had written. However, I occasionally find that the contests the Mods run here pique my interest, so I like to write things for those just as a brief break from college life. I may also post the occasional short story here, depending on how much time I can find to write.
If you ever want to talk to me, you can try AIM or just post on my author's thread on SF3. Please note that for some reason I've stopped receiving email notifications from SFF, so if you tried to send me an email through this site at any point after the beginning of December '08, I never got it, and I recommend that you attempt to contact me through some other medium.
If I ever make any progress with my original fiction, I'll be sure to find a way to let y'all know. Current progress: as you can see, Warrior's Blood has been taken down. That'd be because I finished writing it, and now that it's complete I don't want any of it floating around on the internet. So now it's off for endless editing, and I'll update again once I'm on to the next step.
(AKA Carnoc’s typical Shockingly Depressing Contest Entry™.) Well, it took three tries, but I finally managed to work out a contest entry I was happy with. So here we are: my entry into the Halloween contest.
More info...The Uru’Baen Post runs a daily advice column, penned by a mysterious correspondent with the paper who is only known as “Dragon.” How he gets the letters he does is a mystery; the letters and his responses to them, however, he mails to the Post for printing. (Depending on how long these end up being—and how many I decide to write—I’ll do one or two of these a day. The number I’ll do overall is still pending; I’ll write them as I come up with them. I don’t know if they’ll be funny or serious; they’re more character exercises than anything else.)
