Summary: For odd-ship lovers: a collection of love poems between highly unlikely pairs.
This is what happens when I multitask: exercising my poetry skillz and slaying my odd-ship plot bunnies at the same time.
I do take requests. Just mention it in your review, and I'll see what I can do...
Planned are poems for: Murtagh/Arya, Angela/Solembum, Orrin/Nasuada, Murtagh/Nasuada, Galbatorix/Katrina, Blodhgarm/Angela (Helvengurl's request), Blodhgarm/Arya, Angela/Ajihad. I don't necessarily support all those ships, but I think they'd make great poems.
Please do not request: Eragon/Arya, Roran/Katrina, Brom/Selena - any confirmed canon ships as of Brisingr. Also, no Murtagh/Eragon (sorry, I don't do incest), or any dragon ships (squick!).
1. April Ice: Roran & Birgit by QueenMindi [Reviews - 5]

(88 words)
I don't usually write poetry, so be gentle with critiques, okay? :3
Starting off with my favorite ship (of course). Please note that the usage of the endearment "sister" in this poem is a reference to the Bible’s Song of Solomon. (Which everyone should read, btw, because it’s beautiful, erotic love poetry right in the middle of a holy book! I’ve always found it fascinating…) In ancient times, to call a lover “sister” was like calling her “baby” nowadays.
Asterisk (*) signals a change of POV.
2. Dark Lady/Beautiful Savage: Nasuada & Garzhvog by QueenMindi [Reviews - 5]

(164 words)
I freely admit this is a very weird ship - but I'm feelin' it.
Again, asterisk (*) separates points of view.
3. Vows: Murtagh & Katrina by QueenMindi [Reviews - 4]

(92 words)
The first part of this poem is meant to be from both POVs at once, showing the way they mirror each other. I know this is short, but it doesn't really need to be longer... I'll post longer poems later.
4. Trust Me: Murtagh & Elva by QueenMindi [Reviews - 5]

(101 words)
Elva is an adult here... in case you wondered. :/
Okay, so I have to admit, this ship creeps me out, and that's saying something. Elva's just... really insane. I was inspired to write this one, oddly enough, by the song "Don't Trust Me" by 3Oh!3. (I know, I know... trashy music... "do the Hellen Keller and talk with your HIPS!") But it seems appropriate for these two, somehow.
5. Beautiful Pain: Durza & Arya by QueenMindi [Reviews - 6]

(127 words)
Again with the creepy factor in this poem, only now, it's downright disturbing. I wrote this on the assumption that Arya is a masochist, which means they have a sort of twisted-kinky BDSM relationship going on there in Gil'ead. Maybe this explains why she wouldn't look twice at Eragon... O_o
Er, so if you hadn't already guessed, this is rated R for torture imagery.
6. My Witch (A Sonnet): Murtagh & Angela by QueenMindi [Reviews - 3]

(103 words)
As promised, HG, here it is... a Murgela sonnet. :D
I find Angela to be a rhyming, singsongy sort of person, so this form fit her pretty well... although if I wanted to REALLY capture her, I suspect it would take a limerick. Unfortunately, I can't write those.
Also, the second stanza operates off the assumption that Angela is half-elf, which is my new theory since one of those CP interviews on Shurty.
7. The Dance: Roran & Nasuada by QueenMindi [Reviews - 3]

(215 words)
So... this poem's a bit different. It was originally a oneshot idea, but I never got around to writing more than a paragraph of it... so now it's sort of a story-poem.
Backstory: this is either after the cycle or at the very end. Roran has been newly crowned King and Nasuada is his advisor. (Katrina may or may not be dead. You decide.) This takes place at the coronation ball in Roran's honor. Nasuada approaches Roran, who is bored out of his wits, and...
8. The One: Blodhgarm & Nasuada by QueenMindi [Reviews - 5]

(94 words)
This is turning into a Nasuada/Everybody shipfest. o_O And the next one will be Eragon/Nasuada...
P.S. Gracias to whoever nominated me for featured! :)
9. Wings: Eragon & Nasuada by QueenMindi [Reviews - 4]

(97 words)
This is sort of based on There Was Something In The Air That Night, my Eragon/Nasuada oneshot. Not my favorite of these... oh well. I've been getting some *very* interesting requests (heh heh) so will see about writing some of those next.
10. Dare: Eragon & Trianna by QueenMindi [Reviews - 2]

(112 words)
Another attempt at rhyming, yikes!
Basically, this imagines what would have happened if Saphira hadn't interfered when Trianna hit on Eragon.
