To sign up for an account, you have to fill out a CAPTCHA- it's the thing with the messed up letters that you have to type what they are, to verify that you're a person, not a program. There's different "strengths" of CAPTCHAs, ranging from easy-to-read but easy-to-break to hard-to-read but hard-to-break, so I just switched the setting to the higher security level. It may cause troubles for some legitimate users trying to create new accounts, but considering how much trouble we used to have with spambots, it's completely worth it! Besides, if they're having too much trouble, I believe an option pops up to e-mail an administrator, so I could create the account for them.

Well, the hope is that before they're banned, some unsuspecting person will click the links in their posts. Remember to never, ever do this! Those sites are extremely dangerous ones- they'll install all sorts of spyware, adware, and viruses on your computer that can even take control of it completely. Once your computer's been infected, it's extremely difficult to remove these things, so stay safe by not clicking those links!
